Our method

  1. 01

    Deep cleaning

We deep-clean the surface so we start from a sound base.

  2. 02

    Polymeric sanding

We refill the joints with polymeric sand, then activate it with water.

  3. 03

    Sealant application

We apply the sealant: the colour comes back, the surface is protected.

The local issue · freeze-thaw

Winter is hard on unsealed pavers.

In Quebec, the freeze-thaw cycle and de-icing salt go after pavers left bare. Water seeps in, freezes, breaks the surface and washes out the joints. A sealed paver takes the cold season in stride.

  1. 01

Water seeps in, freezes and cracks the surface.

  2. 02

De-icing salt dulls and stains the stone.

  3. 03

Joints empty out and weeds move in.

The right time to seal: spring through early fall, on a dry surface.

Before · after

The colour comes back.

A washed-out paver isn't a worn-out one. Under the dust and grey, the colour is still there — the sealant draws it back out and keeps it.
